Warren Buffett’s son, Howard Buffett, says he's been preparing all his life to follow in his father's footsteps and take over as chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.,according to a Bloomberg report.
Howard Buffett notes he not only has had a front-row seat at watching his father (the so-called Oracle of Omaha) build Berkshire (NYSE: BRK.A) into a $240 billion empire, but he also has served more than 20 years on the company's board.
No word on when the older Buffett might be looking to retire, but he has specified that his responsibilities should be split among his son, an as-yet unnamed CEO and investment managers.
