OMAHA, Neb. -- Nearly 150 business students from colleges around the country helped themselves to south Omaha dining and nuggets of advice from Warren Buffett Friday afternoon. The Oracle of Omaha was surrounded by the collegiate entourage as they walked into Piccolo's restaurant."We were just in the car with Mr. Buffett, he was driving us," said Penn State's Amisha Patel. "It was like a rock star moment for us."
The rock star dished out advice not only about finances, but also about life."He believes in the country a lot, believes in our government a lot," Patel said.
The students said they asked him about his perception of the country's economy and where it may be headed.Penn State's Dave Noreen said Buffett was optimistic."He's pro-American and excited about the economy going forward. It's good news for us," he said.Buffett didn't give away everything the students wanted."We certainly tried to get inside tips from him," said University of Texas student Jim Cahow. "But obviously he spoke in a lot of generalities, so not sure what stocks to tell you to buy after our meeting today."
