Denver-based Johns Manville Corp., the building and insulation manufacturer owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Inc., will fire 100 employees, the Toledo Blade reported, citing Jim McCormick, a plant manager in Waterville, Ohio.
The layoffs are the result of declining orders in the housing and auto sectors, McCormick said. The layoffs will take place around April 1, the newspaper reported.
Johns Manville employs 500 people at two factories and divisional headquarters in Waterville, the newspaper said.
